1. Who we are

MyGarage — Car & Bike ("the App") is operated by psquared GmbH, Linz, Austria. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Data we collect

2.1 Data stored locally on your device

  • Vehicle information (make, model, year, license plate, photo)
  • Service records and maintenance history
  • Mileage entries
  • Tire information (brand, DOT code, tread depth)
  • Cost records
  • App preferences and settings

This data is stored exclusively on your device using local storage (SQLite). We do not have access to it and it never leaves your phone unless you explicitly export it.

2.2 Account data (optional)

If you create an account (via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In), we store your email address and display name for authentication purposes. Account creation is optional — the app works fully without an account.

2.3 Analytics & advertising

The free version of the App may display ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. Pro users see no ads and no ad-related data is collected.

3. How we use your data

  • To calculate and display service reminders and maintenance schedules
  • To authenticate your account (if you choose to create one)
  • To process in-app purchases via RevenueCat

4. Third-party services

  • RevenueCat — In-app purchase management
  • Google AdMob — Advertising (free tier only)
  • Google/Apple Sign-In — Authentication (optional)

5. Data retention

Local data remains on your device until you delete the app or clear app data. Account data is retained until you request deletion. We do not store vehicle data, service records, or mileage on our servers.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Object to processing or request restriction
  • Data portability (CSV export available in Pro)
  • Lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (dsb.gv.at)

7. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
